War dead information - Son of George and Mary Ann Angood, of 48, New Rd., Chatteris; husband of Grace Annetta Buck (formerly Angood). There are 7 Commonwealth burials of the 1914-1918 war at the Chatteris General Cemetery. I am certain because of the parents names that this is the correct person but he was down as four on the 1897 Census, so would have only been 20 in 1917 not 23 as the CWGC says. It also says that his wife was Annetta BUCK formerly ANGOOD, so perhaps by the time the information was recorded his wife had remarried and the age given for Percival was given incorrectly.
Apparently Percival was a pupil at March Grammar School. The Roll of Honour at the School shows the following:
Percival George ANGOOD - 2nd Lt,  Royal Flying Corps. Killed (flying accident, England) 11-9-17, age 23. Son of George & Mary Ann Angood, 48 New Rd, Chatteris; husband of Grace Annetta Angood. Born 23-5-1898, admitted to school 12-11-07, left 23-3-10. Chatteris General (Meaks) Cemetery.
The British Legion (Lest we Forget gives the following information about Percival's death:
2nd Lt, Royal Flying Corps. Killed (flying accident, England) 11-9-17, age 23. Only son of George & Mary Ann Angood, 48 New Rd; husband of Grace Annetta Angood (nee Buck), married July 1917. Formerly Honourable Artillery Company. Chatteris General (Meaks) Cemetery. At the time of his death he was serving as a pilot with No. 7 Aircraft Acceptance Park, Kenley, Surrey, a unit which flight-tested new aircraft from local manufacturers. Killed flying a RE.8. Had previously served with 2nd Battalion, HAC.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
