    1851 Census - High Street, Alton, Hampshire. Charles was an Apprentice with a George BARNFIELD, a widower, aged 70 a Printer and Stationer employing 1 apprentice. George was born in Wherwell?, Hampshire. There was also a Housekeeper a Ann TAYLOR aged 22 born Wherwell, Hampshire with them

    1881 Census - 6 Anstey Terr Anstey Rd, Alton, Hampshire. There was an Ann CLINKER, aged 72 Mother-in-Law, Annuitant, born Guildford, Surrey, with the family.
    1891 Census - Martyre Road, Stoke, Guildford, Surrey. There was an Ann CLINKER, aged 82 Mother-in-Law, Living on Own Means, born Guildford, Surrey, with the family.
    1901 Census - 4 Sandfield Terrace, Stoke Within, Guildford, Surrey. Rosa Emma QUICKFALL née BIDDLE was with the family, down as married but her husband Robert was not with her.
    I am told that Charles and Leonard Charles were BIDDLES the Printers in Guildford, Surrey. This was a well known Printers in that area.
