    1931 BROOKER Frederick of 31 Buller-street Derby died 26th September 1931 at the Derbyshire Royal Infirmary Derby Probate London 17 October to Edith Annie Brooker widow. Effects £933 6s. 8d.
    A J A STANLEY writes on 16th July 2008 about his grandfather Frederick BROOKER:
    My grandfather Frederick Brooker was a prominent Derby Lay preacher.
    Derby Daily Express March 12th 1917 article pulpit echoes that Mr.F Brooker UM Free Church Becket Street gave a talk on impressions of a lay preacher. Derby Telegraph April 15th 1930 silver wedding of Mr and Mrs Brooker states Mr Brooker a well know lay preacher on primitive Methodist plan. Member of the railway clerks association, past president of the derby adult school union and an old student of Ruskin College.
    He died as you recorded 26th September 1931 this was following an accident October 2nd 1931 derby telegraph coroners tribute at inquest stated a prominent Derby lay preacher was fatally injured in an accident and returned a verdict of accidental death

    A J A STANLEY wrote the following about his Grandmother on 16th July 2012:
    Edith Jeffries Sunday school teacher and member of choir at Kedleston Street Primitive Methodist Chapel.
    Moved to Buller Street in 1922 . Died 1973 following a stroke in 1970.

    Wilfred Brooker handicraft teacher of 31 Buller Street was a conscientious objector on humanitarian grounds in 1940 and worked as a market gardener. His father was a conscientious objector in the previous war
    Wilfred Brooker son of late F Brooker and Mrs Brooker wed Anne Goult on 11 March 1944 at Bletchley Church North Bucks, so this must be the marriage as it is the Derbyshire paper
    There is a daughter Ann Christin Brooker born 1945 in Northampton for Brooker with mother Goult. There is another child Janet born in 1946.
  5. Birth on BMD with BROOKER as surname and mothers maiden name as JEFFRIES in the correct area who I think is another child for this couple.
    Possible marriage found then these children on the BMD have the name BEAN and the mothers maiden name as BROOKER

    Information for Alfred BEAN
    Her husband Alfred Edward Been born London 1916 and died in Sussex in 1987. He is the son of Charles Walter Bean 1877-1920 and Lilly Mary Ann Scott 1878-1972 who married in Thanet in 1901.
    A daughter, Jennifer, of  Edith and Alfred contacted me today 25th April 2012 about this chart and I have added the details she gave. She also has a sister.
