With the family were two lodgers, George PASSINGHAM aged 20 a Carter and Elizabeth PASSINGHAM aged 11 a Domestic servant born Baring Green, Hampshire.
  2. 1861 14 West Street, Landport, Portsea, Portsmouth, Hampshire. Emma is down as wife aged 19 no one else with her but have now established husband Edward was in Royal Navy. It also establishes that this marriage took place before this Census but I would think about this time as she was only 19.
1871 Newgate, Wye, Kent. Emma is down as Daughter in Law a Widow born Baghampton? Hampshire, down as visitor but with a Henwood BUTCHER aged 44 an Ag Lab born Wye Kent and his wife Sarah aged 63 born Great Chart, Kent, Certain correct Sarah as the children are down as Eveline C (should be S) Granddaughter aged 9 a visitor born Langport, Hampshire and Edward J Grandson aged 4 born Rotherhithe, London which ties up with the children on the 1881 and 1891 Census.
1881 73 Crasswill St Buckingham Arms, Portsea, Hampshire. With Emma and her two children were  Maria CORBIN Aunt a Widow aged 63 born Ringwood, Hampshire, a Henry C DACOMBE Brother-in-Law aged 19 a Blacksmith, born Wimborne, Dorset, a Maria A FREAN a visitor aged 19 a Stay Worker born Farnham, Hampshire. There were also three boarders, all Seaman Royal Navy. (Lots to sort out especially as son with her is name BUTCHER, Definitely found right family with Brother-in-Law Henry C being with her.
1891 Sevis Gardens, Farlington, Hampshire. With the family was Edward PENNY?, Grandson, aged 6 a Scholar born Portsmouth, Hampshire Tomas (sic) Bertie ANDREWS, aged 2 Grandson born Portsmouth, Hampshire. With the family were two lodgers, George PASSINGHAM aged 20 a Carter and Elizabeth PASSINGHAM aged 11 a Domestic servant born Baring Green, Hampshire.

With the family were two lodgers, George PASSINGHAM aged 20 a Carter and Elizabeth PASSINGHAM aged 11 a Domestic servant born Baring Green, Hampshire.
I have tried everything I can think of to find Rosina other than on the 1891 Census without success, thought she might be Rosina CORBIN, or was adopted or was really a child of one of the BUTCHER children etc etc, but having looked at all of the possibilities nothing gives a clue to who she actually was.
  6. 1871 Newgate, Wye, Kent. Emma is down as Daughter in Law a Widow born Baghampton? Hampshire, down as visitor but with a Hemwood BUTCHER aged 44 an Ag Lab born Wye Kent and his wife Sarah aged 63 born Great Chart, Kent, Certain correct Sarah as the children are down as Eveline C (should be S) Granddaughter aged 9 a visitor born Langport, Hampshire and Edward J Grandson aged 4 born Rotherhithe, London which ties up with the children on the 1881 and 1891 Census.

  8. 1871 Newgate, Wye, Kent.
Possibly died before 1911 as mother said she had three children one of whom had died, however where does this live Rosina DACOMBE who I have only been able to find on the 1891 Census as this would appear to have been a child of hers as well, meaning she had four, I have found Sarah, who was with her mother on the 1911 Census and  Eveline who was still married with children.

Have had a lot of problem with this chart with Emma ???/CORBIN/BUTCHER. Still not solved as cannot find first marriages but an Emma CORBIN married William DACOMBE but she has a child with her called BUTCHER. Found her on the 1871 and 1881 Census so this gave me more information and confirmed family, also gave me another child but still did not solve the problem. I still have two queries even without finding the marriages, where does Maria CORBIN an Aunt a Widow fit in on the 1881 Census and also on the 1891 Census where Edward PENNY? Grandson aged 6 born Portsmouth, Hampshire fit in the picture. Have now found a marriage for a Sarah Ann BUTCHER in June quarter 1880 in Portsea Island district to a William PENNEY which might account for Grandson Edward PENNY aged 6 born Portsmouth, Hampshire, which would mean that Sarah married twice. And have also found her second marriage to an ANDREWS in London. And by finding her actual second marriage certificate in London I have established the name of her father, and therefore the name of the first husband of Emma. Have also found details for Edward BUTCHER on 1851 having established his father was a Hemwood BUTCHER born in Wye Kent have found the family in 1851. Hemwood's wife is down as Sally whereas on the 1871 she is down as Sarah.

As with all these Dacombe Chart I am spending a lot of time on each one, the only information I was given on the Chart sent to me was William 14.5.1843, the above chart is the outcome of that information. I therefore feel that I at the present time can find nothing more.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
