  1. 1871 Census - Harwich Road Cottage, Ramsey, Essex, George was a widower on this Census. With his parents Samuel aged 65 an Ag Lab born Wrabness, Essex, his wife, Mary aged 65 born Ramsey, Essex. There were two grandchildren so children of George. Sarah, aged 7 and Anna aged 5 both Scholars, both born Ramsey, Essex
1881 Census - Cottage, Harwich Road, Ramsey, Essex. George had married again, his wife was at least 10 years older than him. He has put his age at 43, not 41 as it should have been, perhaps not to show that large age discrepancy between them.
1891 Census - Main Road, Little Oakley, Essex. This Census has given us a son of Sarah which shows she was married before she married George Farrington. The Chart has therefore become much more complex than when I started.
1901 Census - White House (part of), Little Oakley, Essex.
  2. 1841 Census - Swan Yard, Great Oakley, Essex
1851 Census - Village, Great Oakley, Essex
1861 Census - 21 Tredegar Square, Stepney, London, There is an Ann AINGER aged 20 born Oakley, Essex, as a Servant that could be the correct person for this Census. She is not with the rest of the family. Quite likely that she would be down as Ann not Anna. She was with an Anne HUBIN a Widow and her family. She was a Proprietor of Houses.
  3. 1881 Census - Cottage, Harwich Road, Ramsey, Essex.
The Chart has therefore become much more complex than when I started
1871 Census - Roydon Hall Farm House, Ramsey, Essex. Having now found Sarah on this Census, I have decided that Sarah did not marry before as she appear as unmarried on this Census. So William was her illegitimate son.
1901 Census - White House (part of), Little Oakley, Essex.
  4. 1871 Census - Harwich Road Cottage, Ramsey, Essex, George was a widower on this Census.
  5. 1871 Census - Harwich Road Cottage, Ramsey, Essex, George was a widower on this Census.
He has put his age at 43, not 41 as it should have been, perhaps not to show that large age discrepancy between them
  6. 1871 Census - Street, Great Oakley, Essex. I was hopeful of finding the father of William on this Census but William is a boarder with a family with a John GOOD? as the head.
1891 Census - Main Road, Little Oakley, Essex. This Census has given us a son of Sarah which shows she was married before she married George Farrington. The Chart has therefore become much more complex than when I started.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
