1911 12 Hall Road, Wanstead, Essex as a widow (sole occupant) On the 1911 census Elizabeth is shown as having had 6 children, 4 have died and 2 survive.
  4. A Family Tree give this birth as being in Hersham, but I cannot find anywhere to confirm this, there is a birth on the BMD in Chertsey district which covers Hersham but I cannot find her anywhere else, so have just added as information on the BMD. Have now found a baptism on the IGI which gives parents as Thomas and Emma
    1861 IGI Baptism
  5. 1863 IGI Baptism
1871 Maynard Road, St Mary, Walthamstow, Essex
1881 24 Stanley Gardens, Kensington Town, Kensington, London, Middlesex. Footman in a property with a number of scholars
1883 There is a baptism on 2nd June 1883 at St Mark, St John's Wood, Middlesex of an Albert FENTIMAN with an Albert Joseph FENTIMAN as father and Priscilla FENTIMAN as mother. This is not a normal baptism, they are handwritten across the page and all but five of the thirty entries on the particular page in question had the abode of child as Queen Charlotte Hospital, Albert in one of the exceptions and his abode is down as Belgrave Square. His father is down as Servant and a birth date is given as 26th May 1883
1885 There is another baptism on 5th May 1885 at St Mark, St John's Wood of a Herbert FENTIMAN with a Albert (no Joseph mentioned) and Priscilla, as at same church I am sure it is another child. Again the entries are written in a list, not in the normal manner. Again most of the entries for the children the abode is given as Queen Charlotte Hospital, there is not address for Herbert, his father on this entry is as a Footman. The birth date given is 24th April 1885.
1890 entry of US Directories the entry reads
Fentiman Albert J., butler John E. Thayer, h George Hill.
1891 Not found on English Census, (see next entry)
1891 Have found a birth entry for Roland on 26th January1891 that shows his parent as Albert Joseph FENTIMAN and Priscilla FENTIMAN in the Massachusetts, Town Vital Records, I think proving that this family did indeed emigrate to the US.
1900 I believe that the family went to the USA, On the 1900 US Census there is a Priscilla A FENTIMAN living at Lancaster, Worcester, Massachusetts, USA. There is no husband with her but there is a Herbert aged 15 down as Priscilla is also as being born in England. There are three other children all down as being born in Massachusetts, Francis H aged 11, Roland aged 9 and Florence E aged 6. She is down as HEAD but nothing to show she is a widow, she is down as being born in December 1863 and is a Laundress. The children are all down as "At School". Herbert down as being born April 1885, Francis H March 1888, Roland January 1890 and Florence E October 1893.
1910 Lancaster, Worcester, Massachusetts, USA (no Albert), so Priscilla, Herbert, Francis H and Florence E
1924 There are 105 entries in the US Directories mainly in Clinton, Massachusetts, I think all of the CLinton entries are part of this family. At this time I do not intend to go through them all but a 1924 entry reads:
Fentiman Albert J (Priscilla) h Center Bridge rd n depot LC
-Herbert res Center Bridge rd LC
-Herbert (evelyn A) chauffeur h Neck rd n Main LC
all of the entries are like this, I believe that Herbert married Evelyn and the entry above appears to put Albert with Priscilla so it will take time to go through all of the 105 entries and make sense of them
1920 Lancaster, Worcester, Massachusetts, USA, Albert, Priscilla, Herbert and I believe Florence but down as Florence E PETRY so assume married)
1930 Lancaster, Worcester, Massachusetts, USA no Albert, just Priscilla and a Roland PETRY so assume a Grandson and a son of Florence.
1954 Priscilla appearst o have lived until at least until 1954 as she appears on th U.S. City Directories between 1931 and 1954 in Clinton, Massachusetts. Will have to look further into these records, There are also a lot of entries for an Albert J from 1890 with him on the early records is a Mrs J. so I would think Priscilla, perhaps he died in 1931 and she then entered her own name. The children also appear on these records.
  6. 1871 Maynard Road, St Mary, Walthamstow, Essex
1881 Days Cottages, George Lane, Wanstead, Essex
1891 St Leonards Descivity(?), 18 St Leonards Road, St Leonard, London. Living as Barman with William MADDAMS 52(?) single Licenced Victualler born Bethnal Green, Middlesex together with 4 other barmen and a servant

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
