  1. 1841 Census - Beckley, Sussex
1851 Census - Moors House, Beckley, Sussex. Having found myself Abraham on the 1851 Census living next door to Stephen (see Note 13) it appears as Couster House, - definitely not Moors. With the family was a Granddaughter a Ann COX I think aged 18, born Fairlight, Sussex. Also a visitor, a Harriet BAYLEY aged 15 born Beckley, Sussex.
1861 Census - 3 Fairhall Cottage, Beckley, Sussex, Abraham was living with his son Stephen. Also with the family was Mary MASTERS, Mother-in-Law, aged 79 born Stone, Kent
The original information for this chart came from Michael METCALFE. He has a Web Site which contains a large amount of information on the FIELDER family, this can be found at http://sheather.co.uk/_sgt/mdma_1.htm
  2. 1841 Census - Beckley, Sussex
Father - John MARCHANT, mother Kesia MACKSTED
  3.
  4.
  5.
  6. 1841 Census - Four Oaks, Beckley, Sussex (there was a Jesse FIELDER as Head listed next after John, possibly related, he appears on the IGI as well, he has three children and no wife with him on the 1841 Census)
    1851 Census - Beckley, Sussex
1861 Census - West Brook, Lydd, Kent. There was a Mary Ann ASHENDEN, granddaughter with John and Mary, she was 9 months and born in Beckley, Sussex. There was a Servant and four Boarders
1871 Census - Broomhill, Sussex. There is a Kate BUTLER on this Census aged 6, I do not know if she is a daughter of Jane but at present have put her in as such.
On the IGI there is a marriage submitted by a member of LDS for a John FIELDER to a Mary ELLIOTT on 17th April 1833 in Beckley, Sussex. This would seem to fit this family above but it could be wrong. I have added the details on the Chart.
  7.
  8. 1841 Census - Beckley, Sussex
1851 Census - Ludley Cottage, Beckley, Sussex. with Stephen and Charlotte were Ann MASTERS, sister, aged 21 born Northiam, Sussex, George MASTERS, aged 1, Nephew born Fairfield, Kent, a Lodger Walter SKINNER, aged 17 an Ag Labourer born Northiam, Sussex.
1861 Census - 3 Fairhall Cottage, Beckley, Sussex, Abraham was living with his son Stephen. Also with the family was Mary MASTERS, Mother-in-Law, aged 79 born Stone, Kent
1871 Census - Penny Bridge, Mayfield, Sussex.
1881 Census - Dumbourne, Tenterden, Kent
  9. 1841 Census - Beckley, Sussex
1871 Census - Penny Bridge, Mayfield, Sussex.
1881 Census - Scotts Hill, Donhead St Andrew, Wiltshire. With David and Mary on this Census were Edith E PEARCY, Aged 11, born Totton, Hampshire, Scholar down as Daughter-in-Law, George R PEARCY 7 born Shirley, Hampshire, Scholar, Son-in-Law and Walter W PEARCY, aged 4 born Spetsbury, Dorset, Scholar, also Son-in-law. I think from this that Mary had been married before and had the three children shown on this Census. However for some reason the following does not appear to have been picked up before, as after these three children there is a Percy FIELDER, aged 2 down as son, born St Mary, Romney Marsh. Have now found the marriage of David FIELDER to Mary PEARCY in Romney Marsh, Kent.
  10.
  11. 1851 Census - Moors House, Beckley, Sussex.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
