1939 11 Park Terrace East, Horsham U.D., Sussex, George SEAGRAVE (born 2 February 1872 (sic - 72 is his age), Pensioner Elizabeth SEAGRAVE (born 23 February 1878 (similarly 78 is her age) and Stephen WELFARE (born 3 August 1873) widowed Pensioner Employed
    Note:
People had to be 70 to qualify for the Pension. Born in 1872, 1878 and 1873 these three would have been 67, 61 and 66 respectively. We have a birth date of 23rd February for Elizabeth and the 1939 Elizabeth SEAGRAVE was born on the 23rd February. As there does not appear to be any other George or Elizabeth SEAGRAVEs  in Horsham in 1939 it was thought that probably the above information appertains to this couple.
However, this conclusion is not conclusive as there was a Stephen WELFARE born in 1873 although it does show him as employed as well as being a pensioner. There does appear that there was some confusion about the entries for George and Stephen as the year for George was entered as 67, crossed through in red and 72 inserted and for Stephen 66 was entered, crossed through and 73 inserted. Nevertheless, it is thought that probably George and Elizabeth were living at this address in 1939

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
