1851 Census - Cannot find any definite William GLOVER born 1826 Marylebone on this Census, so I have not been able to trace any further back on this family. Only two William GLOVER's born in Middlesex in 1826 one is the son of a John GLOVER who is a servant to the Queens Household and the other is a Visitor, so no real details but he is a Mariner. William and Sarah married very soon after the Census date, so I thought something would give me a clue to where they were on this Census. The census witnesses do not appear to be part of the family. And according to the marriage certificate the father of William should be a Samuel. a Carpenter, so I think this definitely discounts the Queens Household servant John. On the marriage certificate of William and Sarah the occupation for William is difficult to read, but it could be Mariner, but if this is the case as the other one was a visitor it gives us no further information.
1861 Census - 156 Upper Thames Street, All Hallows the Great Middlesex. There was a visitor a James CREGG aged 28 a Schoolmaster born Hungary, with the family.
1866 29 Bush Lane, City of London Father - Samuel GLOVER, Carpenter
1871 Census - "The Bell", 3 Bush Lane, City of London
1881 Census - 59 Hawkstone Road, Rotherhithe, Surrey. They had a servant a Augustus F WALKER aged 40 a Potman, born St Saviour, Southwark
1891 Census - 254 Rotherhithe New Road, Rotherhithe, Surrey
  4. 1828 - 29 Grove Place, St Marylebone, Middlesex (baptism of Ann)
1851 - Long Lane, Bermondsey, London (address at marriage - down as Sarah Ann or was this another child),
    Information for George Alfred FRENCH.
1851 - Nelson Street, Bermondsey, Surrey. (address at marriage) - Father - George FRENCH - Carpenter

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
