  1. 1861 Census - Street, Minster, Kent
1871 Census - Algernon and Fanny were in the Grocers Shop, High Street, Minster
1881 Census - High Street, Minster, Kent. There is also a William Someford, a Boarder aged 20 a Grocers Assistant, born Minster, Kent.
1891 Census - Granville House, Minster, Kent - With them on this Census is a Hannah HAMMOND a sister-in-law, a widow of 61 born in Minster, Kent and a servant, an Elizabeth Gertrude WILLIAMS, age 15 a General Servant Domestic, born Minster, Kent
The more research I do on this family the more I am convinced that the name was GOLDER not GOULDER as shown on the 1861 and 1871 Census. The BMD shows him as GOLDER and everything from 1881 onwards shows the same, the BMD death for Algernon, the marriage of their son etc. I have changed the Chart to put GOLDER first, as it definitely shows on the 1861 and 1871 as GOULDER, so I have not removed completely
  2. 1841 Census - Minster, Kent
    1851 Census - Minster, Kent
1901 Census - Frances was a Widow aged 62 a retired grocer, she was the only one in the Household, living in Monkton Road, Minster. Again the children can be found but will not add any more to this family until I add the Chart for them.
  3. 1881 Census - High Street, Minster, Kent.
1901 Census - indexed as Algernore GOLDER -  There were no children by 1901.
I have found a marriage on the BMD site for Algernon John GOLDER, it is interesting to note that the other male on the page was a Edward Stephen SETTERFIELD. By finding Algernon and his wife on the 1901 Census this means that Edward Stephen SETTERFIELD married a Sarah Jane WALKER.
1911 16 Helena Avenue Margate Kent
  4. 1881 Census - High Street, Minster, Kent. There is also a William Someford, a Boarder aged 20 a Grocers Assistant, born Minster, Kent.

1901 Census - Aubrey GOLDER was living at the Grocers Shop, Leading Street, Meopham, Kent, he was a Grocers Assistant, aged 21 born Minster, Kent

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
