  1. 1851 Census - Cole Meadow, Newchurch, Lancashire
  2. 1861 Census - ??? (Heald?) Clough, Newchurch, Lancashire. I am not certain of the maiden name of Alice, but on this Census there are two LAW relatives living with the family and along with LORD, LAW appears to be in the family, so I think it is likely this was her maiden name. On the BMD there are two men and one female and the female is not an Alice. By listing all the names that married in Haslingden in that quarter however there is an Alice LAW (again there are other Alice's who married in that quarter in Haslingden so although this adds to my deductions it does not prove that James GREGORY's wife was Alice LAW. With the family was a Ann LAW aged 19 a Relative, Cotton Weaver, born Newchurch, Lancashire and a Mary LAW, aged 16 a Cotton Throstle Spinner, Relative, born Newchurch, Lancashire.
  3. 1871 Census - Burnley Road, Newchurch, Lancashire
  4. 1881 Census - Whitewell Bottom, Newchurch, Bacup, Lancashire
  5. 1891 Census - 14 St James's Street, Cowpe Lench Newhall Hey and Hall Carr , Lancashire. There was a Herbert GREGORY, aged 1, Grandson, born Bacup with the family
  6. 1901 Census - 16 Tunstead Road, Bacup (formerly Newchurch) Lancashire

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
