    In Will of father it stated "to Ann, the widow of Joshua HALL...the sum of forty pounds"
    We were sent information that Ann HALL married a John SPOULTON on the 3rd June 1849, which took place in the St Ives District, Huntingdonshire. This marriage is included on FreeBMD so did take place, but as Ann HALL has been found on the 1861 and 1871 census returns we are not sure that this marriage belongs to this Ann HALL née WHEATON 
  3. We were sent information that Ann HALL married a John SPOULTON on the 3rd June 1849, which took place in the St Ives District, Huntingdonshire. This marriage is included on FreeBMD so did take place, but as Ann HALL has been found on the 1861 and 1871 census returns we are not sure that this marriage belongs to this Ann HALL née WHEATON

    1851 Pond? Cottage (perhaps, looks crossed out) Hackney Road, Bethnal Green, Middlesex. Visiting Rebecca and her husband was her brother, Joshua.

    1871 Wandsworth, Surrey as a widow. RG10 piece 718 folio 111 page 1. This is the information from findmypast, no details of exact address or institution. Using the above reference on ancestry.com in an attempt to find the address brings forth a "no matches" result! As it was page 1 of the census there was no previous page on which to look for  information. The Head of the School was Baines HAWKINS BA (Hons) (58), followed by 10 Master and Mistresses and then Sempstress, Matron and 2 Parlour Maids, all unmarried. The number of pages does not appear on findmypast so further details unavailable.
    (Information from Claire GRANTHAM 19/5/2008, Rebecca GOLDSMITH was working at the Society of St Ann which was a Charity Home giving clothing, maintenance and education for children of those who once moved in a superior station of life)
