  1. 1841 Census - Boreham, Essex (HO107; Piece: 325; Page: 17)
  2. 1851 Census - Church End, Great Waltham, Essex. There is a Hannah SORRELL as a Servant at this address which is possibly this Hannah, she is the correct age but is down as being born in Great Waltham. As all the other children have been in Boreham, I have a slight doubt if this is the correct Hannah.
  3. 1861 Census - Near Sandford Mill, Village, Great Baddow, Essex. I looked for a marriage for Hannah and found this one, certain this is correct as on this Census they are living at the same place as John SORRELL and family. No children on this Census.
  4. 1871 Census - Baddow Road, Great Baddow, Essex. On this census they have four children - Emily aged 7 a Scholar born Baddow, Essex, Albert W aged 6 a Scholar born Great Baddow, Essex, Laura aged 4 born Great Baddow, Essex and Charles, aged 7 months born Great Baddow, Essex.
  5. 1881 Baddow Road, Great Baddow Chelmsford, Essex.. Hannah was a widow on this Census. She had the following children with her, Arthur W. aged 16 a Journeyman Baker born Great Baddow, Essex, Laura, aged 14 a Scholar, born Great Baddow, Essex, Charles aged 10 a Scholar, born Great Baddow, Essex,  George aged 7 a Scholar, born Great Baddow, Essex, Frederick, aged 5 born Great Baddow, Essex. Frederick THOROGOOD, aged 15 a Scholar born Wormley, Hertfordshire (see THOROGOOD Chart 0401) was also with the family.
  6. Father - Robert HAWKES - Labourer - given on William's marriage certificate.
  7. 1891 Census - Baddow Road, Baddow, Essex,
  8. 1901 Census - Baddow Road, Baddow, Essex

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
