  1. 1880 US Census - Buffalo, Erie, New York, USA
1900 US Census - Cumberland, Providence, Rhode Island, USA

1920 Buffalo Ward 20, Erie, New York, USA
    1930 Not found
I checked the 1910 census because I had father David as a widower and Mary and David as his children on the 1910, but I did not have Mary E as his wife on the 1910, but my brother had Mary E as a wife for David in 1920..and as mother to Mary and David....although there were concerns about her age.
On checking the 1910 David is entered as a widower, with the two children - no sign of a wife. Also on the 1910 the children are shown to be born in New York, their father born in Pennsylvania....which David was....but their mother was "Can. English".
    * Elizabeth was born 1850 and could not have had children in 1907 and 1908....and she would have been shown as born England anyway.
    * Mary E was not David's wife in 1910 as he was entered as a widower and anyway, she was born New York. Also she would have been 47/48 when the children were born
So, it looks as if Elizabeth died between 1900 and 1907, there could have been another wife who David married between 1900 and 1907, but who died between 1908 and 1910, and then he married Mary E between 1910 and 1920.
Therefore David has been entered as having three wives, the second unknown being mother to Mary and David.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
