We have not found any documentary evidence to show that Lucy is a daughter of Thomas and Sarah. However, we are certain that Lucy fits into this family because:
    * Her father was Thomas, a Labourer in 1844. Thomas, husband of Sarah GIFFORD is the only
Thomas who, in Warboys in 1844, fits this description.
    * Thomas's grandmother was a Lucy, and two of Thomas's sisters were Lucy
    * Information from the family of Arthur STOKES suggest that Lucy had a sister Mary
    * Information on memorial cards held by Arthur STOKES for Mary and Lucy suggest the two daughters belong in this family
    * Although living with their parents in 1841 we have not found the baptisms of Ann or Elizabeth. These two, and Lucy, could all have been baptised at the same place, as yet unknown.
    * Mary and Lucy were in service in 1841, both living quite close to Thomas and Sarah GIFFORD.
  2. 1841 Mile Green, Warboys, Huntingdonshire as Servant to Elizabeth MEADOWS (85)
    Independent, born Huntingdonshire
  3. 1844 Warboys, Huntingdonshire
  4. Information from Arthur STOKES 12/2000
Richardson HUGGINS (1819-1903) husband of Lucy DRING (1823-1884) was living in West London where he had gone to live with their son Walter HUGGINS and his wife Susan and son Hurbert ('Ray') (1884-1970).Richardson continues to live in Acton although Walter and his family returned to Warboys when Mary DRING died and bequeathed Richardson House to Walter.
  5. 1861 Mill End, Warboys, Huntingdonshire
  6. 1871 Mill End, Warboys, Huntingdonshire
  7. 1881 Mill End, Warboys, Huntingdonshire

  9. 1901 79 Windmill Road Caslla Place, Chiswick, Middlesex, living with his son Lewis and family.
  10. 1881 Middlemoor, Ramsey, Huntingdonshire
  11. 1891 MIddlemoor, Scradge Bank, Ramsey, Huntingdonshire
  12. Information from Arthur STOKES 30/12/2000
After her brother George moved to London it appears that Sarah followed him and got employment at a largish grocers, Soutars, near the Hammersmith end of Chiswick. The 1881 Census showed John KIMPTON lodging with the George/Louise family having come from his home in Bluntisham. Sarah may have first met him there - she was strongly religious but from all that I have heard John wasn't. Later, I presume, after their marriage, he was employed by Soutars as their groom looking after anumber of delivery horses. Sarah became the temporary minder for severalof Emma's children as and when they migrated to London"
When Sarah Ann became ill she was taken to Warboys where she died. John remained at Soutars still looking after the horses. The family kept intouch with him through Arthur STOKES father who also worked at Soutars. Eventually, about 1926/27 John was taken back to Warboys for his safety and well being.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
