  3. On 6th October 2011 I received the following from a Tony PRINGLE living in Newmarket, Suffolk:- Bryon Vernon LONG died in an aircrash on 24th May 1942 , flying as a Flight Sergent Air Training Corps cadet in Wellington T2802 from Newmarket. Tony has the following additional information Wellington T2802 took off from Newmarket for fighter affiliation training using a cine camera gun, the crew comprised pilot, wireless operator (attached from 138 Sqdn), wireless operator/air gunner, 3 ground crew staff, an ATC cadet and an Army artillery expert attached to 109 Sqdn. At around 16:00 the Wellingston's main spar assembly failed outboard of the starbord engine. With a large portion of its starboard wing missing the bomber spun in near Stanton some 6 miles NE of Bury St Edmunds. All aboard were killed. Three were buried in Newmarket Cemetery, Byron in Grave P416. It is a mystery why Byron was not taken to Cambridge for burial, unless his family had moved to Newmarket ??

  5. Had a contact from a Gregory LONG on 3rd November 2011 as follows: Just contacting you because you are missing David Long (b 1932) out of the children of Vernon Worrell Long and Mildred Easy. David (died 2009) was my father.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
