  1. 1881 Census - 4 Mortimer Terrace, St Paul Hammersmith, Hammersmith, Middlesex
1883 -  Arrival _ New York , United States; Microfilm serial: M237; Microfilm roll: M237_466; Line: 29; List number: 701
Hannah, Benjamin, John and Florence having sailed from London arrived in New York aboard the Ship, "France" on the 6th June 1883. As William was not with them I assume he died before they sailed. There is a death for a William LOVELL in the September quarter of 1881 in the Fulham district of London, aged 0 who could possibly fit this
details for New York Passenger List
1900 US Census -  Queens Ward 1, Queens, New York; Roll: T623 1147; Page: 11B; Enumeration District: 627
1910 US Census - Queens Ward 1, Queens, New York; Roll: T624_1063; Page: 5B; Enumeration District: 1159; Image: 1169. On this Census, Minnie is down as Annie, but certain it is the correct family. She is down as born in Germany in 1874 and Benjamin in the USA in 1873 and they have a son Benjamin born in 1896 and they are in the same area. Both the new children are down as being 9 years old.
1920 US  Census -  Queens Assembly District 1, Queens, New York; Roll: T625_1229; Page: 2B; Enumeration District: 36; Image: 510.
1930 US  Census - Queens, Queens, New York; Roll: 1595; Page: 8A; Enumeration District: 288; Image: 647.0.  No longer living next door to brother, I think it is Benjamin who has moved and he has also remarried.
  2. 1900 US Census - Queens Ward 1, Queens, New York; Roll: T623 1147; Page: 11B; Enumeration District: 627
  3. 1900  US Census  - Queens Ward 1, Queens, New York; Roll: T623 1147; Page: 17B; Enumeration District: 624. So again Rose (who I am now absolutely Certain is the correct person) is even older than she has said before, she is down as being born in December 1884. She is down as an Apprentice ??? and born in England. She is with her family - Her father is Stephen aged 40 a Carpenter, born in England, her mother Julia aged 38 born England, and siblings, Lillian aged 16 born England, Violet 13 born Illinois at School, Stephen 11 born New York at School, George 9 born New York at School and Percy 3 born New York.
1910 US Census - Queens Ward 1, Queens, New York; Roll: T624_1064; Page: 3A; Enumeration District: 1169; Image: 381. On this census it gives the year they came to the US and it says 1887. On the 1920 and 1930 Census she has given her age as 32 and 42 respectively which would have made her born in 1888 and therefore she would have emigrated before she was born, but on this Census she is 24. In any case it would appear that she came to the US as a very small baby which might explain why she put down born New York on the 1930 Census. With the family on this Census was a Stephen B THORPE, Brother-in-Law, Aged 21 Born New York a Plumber (Shop), this gives us the maiden name of Rose (and had enabled me to find the family on the 1900 Census.
1920 US Census  - Queens Assembly District 1, Queens, New York; Roll: T625_1229; Page: 1B; Enumeration District: 28; Image: 246.
1930 US  Census - Queens, Queens, New York; Roll: 1595; Page: 8A; Enumeration District: 288; Image: 647.0.  No longer living next door to brother, I think it is Benjamin who has moved and he has also remarried.
Rose's parents are down as being born in England. There is a Stepdaughter as shown with the family, a Gladys KORON aged 20 with both her parents down as being born in New York, this is the basis for the information for Rose on the Chart above. The New York in all cases relates to the State, as this is what is shown on the Census return, but I believe they were all actually born in New York City.
  4. 1880 US Census - Using IGI Family Search - Gardenville, Erie, New York. John, father was John born Baden-Baden aged 36 and a Farmer, his mother was Mary aged 38 born Wurtenburg, Germany and he had a sister, Maria aged 6 born New York, USA
1910 US Census - Queens Ward 1, Queens, New York; Roll: T624_1064; Page: 3A; Enumeration District: 1169; Image: 381. The name appears to be KRON, not KORON, the 1930 Census give KORON but this is just for Gladys after her mother had remarried and her father died, so perhaps Benjamin thought it was KORON. I have changed the name accordingly. John's parents were both born in Germany.
1920 US Census  - Queens Assembly District 1, Queens, New York; Roll: T625_1229; Page: 1B; Enumeration District: 28; Image: 246. I think this is the correct family but the name is KRON, not KORON and Rose is down as being born in England whereas on the 1930 Census she is down as being born in New York, her parents on both Censuses are down as being born in England. Rose's age is right and John and Rose's daughter Glady's is the correct age, so I am fairly certain I have found the correct family.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
