    Funeral for Benoit McCROSKEY, 58, of 3030 SW Cascade Dr., will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Finley's Morninglight Chapel. He died Monday.
    Mr. McCROSKEY was commercial claim's department manager of the Oregon Association of Credit Management. He came to the association after many years in credit and collection work in the consumer-finance field.
    Mr. McCROSKEY, a graduate of the University of Oregon, was winner of the Koyl Cup in his junior year and toured Europe as a member of the university's debating team in his senior year. He was a member of Phi Gamma Delta.
    Active in civic affairs, he was area governor of Toastmasters International and a member of the Sons of Norway.
    Born Sept. 26, 1906 at Garfield, Wash., Mr. McCROSKEY had lived in Portland many years.
    Survivors include the widow, Doris; a daughter, Mrs. Millard SCHINAIER, Baltimore, Md.; a son, CRAIG; and a grandchild.

    Memorial service for Doris Junia McCROSKEY will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Lewis and Clark College Chapel. Mrs. McCROSKEY died Wednesday in Menlo Park, Calif. She was 78.
    Mrs. McCroskey moved to Portland at the age of 4 from Aberdeen, Wash., where she was born on Feb. 12, 1907. She was graduated from Portland's Jefferson High School in 1924 and the University of Oregon in 1928. She was an administrative assistant for 14 years at the Lewis and Clark College Law School before retiring in 1978. She worked for two more years at the schools' alumni office.
    Mrs. McCROSKEY was a freelance writer and had numerous articles published in national magazines.
    She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Oregon Historical Society, the Delta Zeta Soroiety, and the Stitch and Study Club.
    Mrs. McCROSKEY is survived by a son, Craig McCROSKEY of Menlo Park, Calif.; a daughter, Mary SCHINDLER of Columbia, Md.; two brothers, Edward EFTELAND of Eugene, and Robert EFTELAND of Westlake, Calif.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
