  4. 1887 29 Alfred Street, Islington, London (baptism of Alice Elizabeth)

I am certain correct person as on the death on BMD of Alice Elizabeth PARFITT the birth date is given exactly as the date given for her birth at her baptism. I was not expecting to find marriage in Croydon district.
There was a Rose A PARFITT born December quarter 1914 in Southwark district, London with PARFITT as the surname and MOODY as the mothers maiden name who I believe to be a child of this couple.
Then after the 1915/1916 on BMD there are all of the following who could also be children of this couple as all have PARFITT as maiden name and MOODY as mothers maiden name and they are all in Wandsworth district which is the next one to Southwark etc. Also the first child is a Reuben. Alice would have been 44 by the time the last child was born.
Reuben J PARFITT December quarter 1916 Wandsworth London
Kenneth G PARFITT March quarter 1919 Wandsworth London
Joyce E PARFITT December quarter 1921 Wandsworth London
Edith M PARFITT March quarter 1923 Wandsworth London
Norman A PARFITT September quarter 1928 Wandsworth Greater London
Ethel M PARFITT March quarter 1930 Wandsworth London
David E PARFITT June quarter 1931 Wandsworth, London
I cannot find a definite death or birth for Reuben. The only likely one died in 1960 in Croydon district and shows a birth of 1863 meaning he died at 97 and was 24 years older than Alice. It would also mean he was 68 years old when they had their last child.
  5. 1889 12 Parkers Row, Bermondsey, Southwark, London (baptism of May (Mary) Emma) (Mother down as Elizabeth)
1891 12 Parkers Road, St James, Bermondsey, Surrey.
1901 5 Shakespeare House, Bermondsey, London
1907 52 Rotherhithe Street, Rotherhithe, Southwark, London (at marriage)
1911 37 Ferrand Street, St Olave, Bermondsey, London. Children Edith aged 4 born Bermondsey, London and Alice aged 3 months born Bermondsey, London.
There are also the following children who I believe to be children of this couple, having MOODY as the mother's maiden name and living in the correct Area
Rosetta R JEFFERY March quarter 1912 St Olave,  London
Caroline E JEFFERY December quarter 1913 Bermondsey London
William J JEFFERY June quarter 1915 Bermondsey
    Information for Charles Samuel JEFFREY
1907 52 Rotherhithe Street, Rotherhithe, Southwark, London (at marriage) - Father William JEFFREY - Mat Maker
  6. 1894 12 Parker's Row, Bermondsey, London (baptism of Rosetta Ruth and Albert Ernest - mother was down as Elizabeth not Alice Elizabeth)
1901 5 Shakespeare House, Bermondsey, London
1911 Census -7 Clarehall Place Rotherhithe SE
1913 7 Clarehall Peace, Bermondsey, Southwark, London (at marriage)
There are a lot of children with the name WEST with the mothers maiden name as MOODY after the 1915 cut off spot on BMD. I think the following two born before then were children of this couple
Arthur C WEST March quarter 1914 Bermondsey London
Rose E WEST June quarter 1915 Bermondsey London
Then it is possibly that some or all of the following are also children of this couple.
Olive E WEST March quarter 1917 St Olave London
Florence A WEST December quarter 1918 St Olave London
John W WEST September quarter 1920 St Olave Greater London
Charles A WEST September quarter 1924 St Olave Greater London
Ernest G WEST December quarter 1926 St. Olave London
Joan V WEST March quarter 1929 St Olave London
Joyce L WEST March quarter 1929 St Olave London
George R WEST March quarter 1931 St Olave London A David ROTH emailed me on 13th July with the following information about this person as follows:
My younger sister Sally's second marriage was to George Robert West whose mother was Rosetta Rose Moody and father Arthur
West.  George Robert West was born 27th December 1930. This proves that George Robert was one of the children of this family, I therefore feel as he is the youngest that all of the other children listed above are also belong to the same family.
    Information for Arthur WEST
1913 7 Clarehall Peace, Bermondsey, Southwark, London (at marriage) - Father William WEST - Army Accoutrement Maker
  7. 1894 12 Parker's Row, Bermondsey, London (baptism of Rosetta Ruth and Albert Ernest - mother was down as Elizabeth not Alice Elizabeth)
1901 5 Shakespeare House, Bermondsey, London

There were the following two children with the name CHIVELL and the mothers maiden name as MOODY
William T CHIVELL June quarter  1921 Cardiff Wales
Beatrice E CHIVELL September 1926 Cardiff Wales
I am certain that although in Cardiff this is the correct Beatrice Maud MOODY as her birth date as Beatrice Maud MOODY ties up exactly with that given at her baptism.
  9. 1898 25 Readon Street, Rotherhithe, Southwark, London (baptism of Catherine (Caroline) Amelia)
1901 5 Shakespeare House, Bermondsey, London
1911 Census -7 Clarehall Place Rotherhithe SE
  10. 1901 5 Shakespeare House, Bermondsey, London
  11. 1911 Census -7 Clarehall Place Rotherhithe SE
There were the following children born with the name KEEFE and the mothers maiden name of MOODY who I believe to be children of this couple
William J KEEFE March quarter 1924 St Olave London
Violet A KEEFE December quarter 1925 St Olave London
Rosalie M KEEFE June quarter 1928 St Olave Greater London
and also the following child who could be a child of this couple but there is 11 years between Rosalie and this one
Ronald V KEEFE  March quarter1939 Bermondsey Greater London
  12. 1911 Census -7 Clarehall Place Rotherhithe SE
There appears to be just the one child for William George ad Ivy Annie
Peggy A MOODY June quarter 1929 Southwark Greater London, however they did die in Kent and might have move there and there is another child a
Pamela M MOODY March quarter 1938 Dartford Kent
who could just be a child of this couple

At present I only have to find details of one more children, which at present I cannot find any details for, Caroline  (Catherine) Amelia MOODY, the last time I can find her is on the 1911 Census.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
