  2. 1841 HO107/385/11 page 1. Gent (is this Goat - this is where Harriet was born)  Lane, Eastrop, Hampshire. A Mary BRAND, aged 35, born in Hampshire is the Head of Household, a Publican, she had the following children with her, Mary BRAND, aged 14 Jane BRAND, aged 12, Maria BRAND, aged 10, Margaret BRAND, aged 6 Harriet BRAND aged 4,  Ellen BRAND, aged 2 there was a Caroline COBDEN, aged 15 and finally there is a George BRAND, aged 40, so possibly her husband (he possibly was not at home at the time of the Census) he is down as a Barge Co....? The IGI on the baptism of Harriet, says that the parents are Mary and Charles, so George possibly not her husband.  There are more children of Mary and Charles on the IGI baptised in Eastrop, but there is no Thomas or Louisa BRAND who were the witnesses as Amos and Harriett's wedding. From what I have found to date I would think that Harriet's parents Mary and Charles had died by the time she married.
  3. 1851 Census - Cannot find Harriet on this Census, but I have found an Ellen BRAND, aged 12 born Basingstoke, Hampshire, so younger sister of Harriet, see note 9, She is down as sister and living with a Maryann MOODY aged 25, so I would think this is Mary BRAND on the 1841 Census. Her husband is William MOODY, aged 21 a Confectioner born Odiham, Hampshire and they are living at High Street, Odiham, Hampshire. The IGI had Mary on her baptism down as Mary Ann, so I think this confirms this as Maryann MOODY.
  4. IGI
  5. 1871 Census - 6 Highland Terrace, Saint Faith, Winchester, Hampshire. A new Chart needed, there were seven MOODY children on this Census, and also a Louisa H MOODY, a niece age 13 born Alton, Hampshire, she a a Visitor Governess on this Census  and also and most interestingly, as this confirms this family an Anna M COBB, a niece, aged 12 a Scholar, born Coombe, Dorset. The children on this Census are listed with the boys first and then the girls.
  6. 1861 Census - Warders Cottages, Winchester St Faith, Hampshire. It would appear that William was a warder at the County Goal.
  7. 1891 Census - 1 Highland Terrace, St Faith, Winchester, Hampshire. Frank is head of household, his father, mother and Charity his sister are living with him.
  8. 1881 Census - 5 Officers Quarters, Romsey Road, Winchester, Hampshire. Also with the family was Marian E YATES, Granddaughter, aged 4 born Ventnor, Isle of Wight.
  9. 1891 Census - Frilsham House, Frilsham, Yattendon, Berkshire. I am certain that this is the correct Faith, but she appears ten years younger than she should be. They have three children on this Census.
  10. 1901 Census - 54 Byron Road, Portsmouth, Hampshire. Faith has become five years older than on the 1891 Census, so I am now certain correct family. She also has more children, one with Hope as the second name, which is a family name. Chart to put on for this family.
  11. 1891 Census - Ventnor Road, Newchurch, Isle of Wight, Hampshire
  12. 1901 Census - 1 Highland Terrace, St Faith, Winchester, Hampshire. The BMD shows Helen as Ellen.
  13. 1881 Census - Albert Terrace, Watford, Hertfordshire. William was a lodger with a Pearson COOPER a Railway Accountant age 23 born Flexton, Yorkshire.
  14. 1891 Census - 41 St Mary Street, St Mary, Southampton, Hampshire
  15. 1891 Census - 7 St James Villas, St Faith, Winchester, Hampshire
  16. 1901 Census - 9 Spring Road, Portswood, Hampshire
  17. 1901 Census - 78 Cassis Road, Watford, Hertfordshire. William was a boarder with a George Seymour and family.
  18. 1901 Census - 8 Spear Road, Portswood, Hampshire
  19. 1901 Census - 8 St James Villas, St Faith, Winchester, Hampshire

  22. 1911 Census - Storekeepers House Institution Borstal Rochester. There was a servant a Daisy, DOWDEN  Servant Single F 15 1896 General Servant Domestic born Chatham Kent
  23. 1881 Census - 2 May Cottages, Ventnor, Isle of Wight, Hampshire. There were two visitors with George and Mary.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
