  1. 1851 Census - Winchester Street, Basingstoke, Hampshire.
  2. 1841 Census - Winchester Street, Basingstoke, Hampshire.
  3. 1871 Census - Winchester Street, Basingstoke, Hampshire
  4. 1861 Census - Victoria Cottage, Victoria Street, Basingstoke, Hampshire. They had a lodger a Henry HARMSWORTH, aged 38, down as Gent for occupation born London, Middlesex
  5. 1881 Census - Winchester Street, Basingstoke, Hampshire.  William and family was living with his brother James. Also with the family was a brother of Ann, a William MATTHEWS, aged 43 a Carpenter, born Basingstoke, Hampshire
  6. 1891 Census - 49 Southern Road, Basingstoke, Hampshire
  7. 1901 Census - Correct page does not come up but it appears that Ann was living in on near Winchester Street, Basingstoke. With her was a Mary MOODY daughter in law, aged 42 born Hertingfordbury, Hertfordshire and Alice M K MOODY, granddaughter, aged 12 born Cumberland (I think this should be Cambridge, not Cumberland. I think that William died in December quarter 1887 aged 27 in Cambridge district. I also think that on the 1891 Mary and his daughter Alice were living at 96 Ainsworth Street, St Andrew the Less, Cambridge. Mary the correct age, ie born 1859 was born in Hertfordshire but is down as being born in Newgate Street, and was a Waiting Room Attendant, she had a daughter, Alice down as aged 4 born Cambridge. So it nearly ties in with the details I have found on the 1901 Census. Unfortunately I cannot see the family on this Census, so details are only taken from Ancestry.com's index which can be completely wrong.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
