  1. We believe that Sarah née Kisby died and William married another Sarah (nee Peacock) in 1793 in Scredington, Lincolnshire. We think that the only children from William and Sarah Kisby were William born about 1790 and John born about 1793, all the other children were from William and Sarah Peacock.
William and Sarah (nee Peacock) with all the children arrived in Philadelphia on the ship Bainbridge in 1820. You will notice I said we think that this is the true case. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury we rest our case! (Croydon Onyett 5/5/2006)
  2. Emigrated 1820 to Philadelphia on the boat "Bainbridge"? (if they went in 1820 how was Ann born in 1822 and baptised in 1822 in Chatteris)
  3. 1850 US Census - Ann LAWRENCE (born England) is in Vandeburgh but not with her husband, she has children Leslie 7 and Sarah June aged 4, with them and what I think proves this is the correct family is a Jane ONYETT, aged 15 born Indiana, USA, although at present I do not know where Jane belongs.
  4. 1840 US Census - Pigeon, Vandeburgh, Indiana, USA. Only Head of family shown but I think because of the ages given it is this William ONYETT. On this Census the head give the age range of the family. It shows as follows: MALES, 2 under 5,  2, 5 and under 10, 3, 10 and under 15, 1 20 and under 30, 1 40 and under 50 and 1 60 and under 70. FEMALES, 1 under 5, 1, 10 and under 15,  1, 15 and under 20, 2 40 and under 50, 1 50 and under 60 and 1 70 and under 80. It would be interesting to know how this works out and who the people were as  these ages do not really tie in with the family above. I assume the main family and the younger children are those of William ONYETT and Elizabeth LANGFORD, this would also account for two of the older male/females. I would think the rest were brothers and sisters and possibly spouses of William, there is nothing to say if they were all ONYETT's they could have been lodgers, boarders or anything. This would possibly account for the person between 70 and 80, of course it could have been the mother of Elizabeth LANGFORD,
  5. 1860 US Census - Center, Vanderburgh, Indiana, USA

NOTE - At the beginning of the line the name is UNNIOT and through the years it changes until today it is ONYETT. At present we are not certain as to when the name actually became ONYETT. As there are several variants in the spelling I have put the name ONYETT first on all the charts and then followed that with the spelling for that particular chart and indexed the whole line under ONYETT. ie ONYETT/UNYAT Chart 0700. The actual name as we have it appears for the actual people on the Chart.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
