1851 Census - 5 Neale Street, St George, Camberwell, Surrey, (down as POLSON on this Census) I would think there were more children between Ann and James, but this has moved us forward. James was a widow, but it appears that his Mother-in-Law was still with them. A Daniel DACKOMBE was boarding with this family on the night of the 1871 Census. I believe this was a brother of Caroline POLTON née DACKOMBE 1874 12 Orb Street, Walworth, Surrey 1881 Census - 2 Louter Place, Newington, London 1851 Census - 5 Neale Street, St George, Camberwell, Surrey, I would think there was more children between Ann and James, but this has moved us forward. Also living with them was Ann Thomson, Widow, Mother, aged 60 a Laundress, born Bath, Somerset 1861 Census - 4 Neale Place, Camberwell, Surrey. James was a widow, but it appears that his Mother-in-Law was still with them. She is in the same property as a separate HEAD. 1871 Census - 49 Mint Street, Borough Road, Southwark. This property has around 49 Lodgers with various occupations I have changed this Chart completely, having had time to search the 1851 on Ancestry.com I am now fairly certain that I have found the correct POLTON family, as they were living in Camberwell and had a son named James POLTON born in 1841 in Eltham I think this is the more likely family. (He was the only one born in Eltham, which is possibly why I have had problems finding him on a Census. However on the 1871 Census, I have Thomas who puts his birth place down as Eltham whereas on the 1851 and 1861 Census he is down as Camberwell.
