  1. Original information given to me - Father - George LUPTON born 1800, died 1877 and Mother - Mary Ann POUND born 1793 died 1881.
  2. 1841 Census - Drummond Street, Somers Town, St Pancras, Middlesex. With the names from the 1851 Census it enabled me to find the family on the Census. They are down as LAPTON. Thomas is with the family on this Census.
  3. 1861 Census - 5a Lupton Cottages, Grosvenor Street, Walworth, London. There was a visitor, a Bertha H LUPTON, aged 1 born St Pancras, Middlesex and a Lodger a James ROWE aged 45 a Varnish Manufacturer born Cornwall.
  4. 1871 Census - 32 George Street, Somers Town, St Pancras, Middlesex. George was head of household with his wife Mary but his son George and family were with him. There was a visitor, a Caroline? LUPTON aged 30 a widow born St Pancras, London.
  5. 1881 Census - 18 Gairford Street, Kentish Town, St Pancras, Middlesex. Mary's mother Mary was with Mary and her daughter so proving my thoughts in Note 17
  6. IGI Baptisms. Parents given as George and Ann POUND. The children listed with Mary Ann are taken off of the IGI with the same batch number and with a George and Ann as parents. There is a Walter born in 1773 with parents George and Ann in the same batch numbers and he had a child Mary. Then there is a marriage of a George POUND and an Ann TRELEAVEN on 23rd August 1772 Lanlivery Rural, Cornwall who could be the parents of all of them, but there is a long gap between Walter in 1772 and Ann on the Chart above in 1789. There are no other baptisms in Lanlivery but of course they could have moved to another village between 1773 and 1789 and this could be the reason there are no children in this period. Have left just as this note at the present time. I have tried on the IGI looking for POUND in Cornwall born between 1773 and 1789 with a George as father and Ann as mother with no success. (I have now added the details of this above, as having heard from a Charlie RIGNALL who is more closely related to this line, he has come to the same conclusion.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
