    Looking back to 1884/1885 there was a John William E POWELL in June quarter 1884. When considering that Dora has an initial E, as does Daisy, registered, and that Beatrice was registered with one name and then was known by another, perhaps this John William E POWELL is the William shown on the census returns. There was a William Ewart POWELL born March quarter 1883 but this would appear to be too close to the previous child,
    Therefore, Lily and John William have been included in this family until further information is available
