James George liked going to school, he even stayed very late in the winter evenings, it was one of the few places where he said that he could keep warm! The schools in those days had long lunch times too, so from about the age of six he used to help the milkman deliver, both before school and during his lunch time; they used tin cans then or what ever was available back then, and because milk was not treated as it is today, it used to go off after a few hours, so the milkman always called twice a day. As he grew up and when he had a few coppers he used to take 'Bus Rides' all over London, taking a sandwich and a bottle of milk or water with him to keep himself sustained. Upon leaving school James George went to work in a furniture shop, soon to become the manager, he started work at seven in the morning and rarely finished before ten at night, so since those days things have changed much for the better. James George was a keen cyclist, he cycled all over England and Wales, and for some unknown reason his father called him ‘George James’ his father Percy Robert did this with all of his children.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
