Note for Joy K O STACE on this 1939 Census
We cannot find a birth of a Joy K O STACE (Later LUNN) her birth date on the 1939 Census is given as 12th January 1924. On the 1939 Census this has been changed to Kathleen O. There are two dates written in the first column 26-12-56 and 20-1-47. I believe the second date is the date that she married as there is a registration for a Kathleen O J STACE to a James R LUNN in March quarter 1947 Brighton district, Sussex. So we have not been able find where Kathleen O J STACE belongs. There is two records officially closed after her which suggests there were two more children who are still living, I have been through all the births in Brighton district from 1924 to 1939 and there are no three children with the name STACE and the same mothers maiden name. None with GOLDING and if Olive Alice GOLDING had been married before she would have had a difference maiden name, As can be seen THOMAS JAMES STACE married again in December quarter 1923 in Brighton district but the 1939 Census says that Joy K O STACE was born 12th January 1924. so at most three months after Thomas and Olive married, but it is quite usual for the birth dates on the 1939 Census to be inaccurate. Also Thomas's first wife Mabel Alice POUGET had a child Margaret S STACE in March quarter 1924 which was after Thomas had married again. In the death index her date of birth is entered as 12 January 1924 which matches the date on the 1939 census.
  2. 1939 48 Kemp Street , Brighton C.B., Sussex as divorced. Living with George J POUGET (born 7 January 1890) Bus Driver and Maud D POUGET (born 2 September 1889) Unpaid Household Duties
  3. 1939 69 Addison Road , Hove M.B., Sussex. Living with Thomas and Olive was Joy K O STACE(Kathleen O) (later LUNN) (born 12 January 1924) Student At Commercial College followed by 2 Record Officially Closed entries
1949 69 Addison Road, Hove Sussex (address given at probate)

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
