  2. 1861 Census  Address 6 Stedman Cottages, Northfleet, Kent
1871 Census - 11 Shepherd Street, Northfleet, Kent. Annie/Amy on the 1871 Census. Otherwise always recorded as Ann
1881 Census -  7 Dover Road, Northfleet, Kent
1891 Census - 5 Carow Cottages, Gillingham, Kent
There is an Ann STEDMAN living at 59 Mary Street, West Ham, Essex on the 1901 Census who could be the same person as the Ann STEDMAN, she was a widow and aged 59 and born in Chatham, Kent, which all ties up with the information we have, as I cannot find a James STEDMAN on the 1901 Census. It is possible one of her children moved to this area and she moved to another house nearby to be near them, but there is no one in the immediate houses which appears to  be related, she is the only occupier of 59 Mary Street. She is down as a Tailoress, Coats, it would have been good if she had had this occupation before. I have added no other details other than this Note as I have not confirmed if she is the correct person.

Joseph not on 1881 Census, so possibly died before this date. Now found at "Kent County Industrial School For Boys", Kingsnorth, West Ashford, Kent. It is interesting to note that the next Scholar,  after Joseph was a Walter POVEY age 11, one year younger than Joseph and also from Northfleet, Kent. A few years late a POVEY married a STEDMAN in Northfleet.
  7. 1881 Census -  7 Dover Road, Northfleet, Kent
  8. 1871 Census - 11 Shepherd Street, Northfleet, Kent
1881 Census -  7 Dover Road, Northfleet, Kent

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
