  1. 1841 Census - Barrack Field, Northfleet, Kent.
1851 Census - 5 Tabor Place, Northfleet, Kent (Ancestry.com shows them as Hedman, but it is definitely Stedman
1856 - Northfleet, Kent - (baptism of Joshua)
1871 Census. 157 Camberwell New Road, Camberwell, Surrey. Thomas and Jobina and family are down as Redman, not Stedman and born in North Flal, Kent, (That is how it appears on the census, not just Ancestry.com interpretation which in this case matches the actual census, but everything ties in that this is the correct family.
1881 Census - 253 St Georges Road, Camberwell, Surrey, they had a daughter Ada STEDMAN, aged 18 a Neck Tie Maker, born Northfleet, Kent. Will put a chart on for this family.
  2. 1841 Census - Dockyard, Northfleet, Kent. Joshua, Jobina's father was down as a Boat Builder, family as 1851 Census except there is an additional child Mary, aged 10.
1851 Census - Dover Castle?, Northfleet, Kent. Joshua was the head, aged 50 a Barge Builder born North Carrow Abbey, Norwich, his wife Jane aged 51 was born in Gravesend. The children on this census were Jane, aged 19 and Jobina aged 17 both down as being born in Gravesend. With the family are quite a few relatives, Sarah BENNETT wifes sister, aged 40, Robert Roberts son in law aged 25, Mary Roberts, daughter, aged 21 a Robert Tah? a nephew, aged 5 all of whom are down as being born in Gravesend, occupations are either nothing or down as being At Home. There was also a George Paul, an Errand Boy/Pot Boy aged 13 born Northfleet, Kent
1853 High Street, Woolwich (address at marriage) Father Joshua WRIGHT Barge Builder
1891 Census - 28 Hamerton Road, Northfleet, Kent. Jobina is down as J Francis STEDMAN on this Census, so this confirms Note 6, Thomas and Jobina are back in Northfleet on this Census, I would think that Thomas had died by 1901 as Jobina is with her daughter on that Census.
1901 Census - 139 Hill Street, Camberwell, Surrey. There is a Francis STEDMAN down as Mother-in-Law, she is the correct age for Jobina, and is down as being born in Gravesend. I think this is Jobina, her youngest daughter was a Francis, so I think it is likely that is was her second name. Alfred and Ada had two children on his Census, Ethel age 6 and Alfred age 5 both born in Peckham, London. Will put a chart on for this family.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
