David STEMP explains that "Hollyhock" Wonersh, Surrey where William STEMP died was opposite Thornsflush and part of the Hamshire’s property in the 17th century.
1861 William, who was living with his brother, gave his age as 37 (born 1823) and his occupation as Civil Engineer. Living with him was his wife, Fanny born in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire in 1834, and their 3 month old son Edwin
1871 a William (born 1827 and a Bricklayer's Labourer), with wife Fanny (born 1832 in Marylebone, Middlesex) and son Edwin (born 1861)  lived in Lucks Green, Cranley, Surrey together with another son, Albert (born 1864). Was this the same family?
1881 William, wife Fanny and Albert with birth dates and places of birth as 1871 lived in Albert Cottage, Bedlam Lane, Cranleigh, Surrey but  without an Edwin.
1891 a William (born (1827 and a Bricklayer's Labourer) lived in Elm Cottage, Cranleigh, Surrey with his wife, Fanny (born 1832  Cheltenham, Gloucestershire). No children were living with them. This William's birth date and occupation are the same as the  1871/1881 William, but his wife's birth place corresponds to the 1861 Fanny.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
