Janet KELSEY believes that Jane was baptised on the 1st July 1762 in Wonersh, Surrey. There were other children, Mary (3rd September 1758), and Sarah (13th January 1760), both children of Thos. and Elizabeth. Thomas YOUNG married Elizabeth FARNFIELD on the 8th May 1755 in Wonersh, Surrey. A Thomas YOUNG was baptised on the 24th November 1725 at Holy Trinity, Guildford, Surrey, brother Ben being baptised on the 17th November 1736, both sons of John YOUNG. A Mary STEMP had a son, William, in 1817. A William STEMP (father John) married Charlotte HEDGER in 1846, both of Full Age (born before 1825). A William STEMP, age 33 (born 1818) and wife, Charlotte, lived in Cranley in 1851. At present there is no likely William, father John, to fit these details. Considering this information, and the possibility that William could have been brought up to recognise John, his grandfather, as his father, the William/Charlotte family have provisionally been included from this chart.
A Mary STEMP married Matthew Taylor STEDMAN (commonly known as Matthew TAYLOR) on the 10th May 1812 in Cranley, Surrey, witnesses Eliz BLANCH and Dan PULLEN; another Mary STEMP married John JENNER on the 25th December 1819 in Ewhurst, Surrey. There are no clues to indicate which, if either, of these marriages relates to the Mary STEMP on this chart.

Note from Janet KELSEY. Elizabeth probably had 2 illegitimate children before marrying William TROWER, Thomas (25th December 1816) and Henry (18th May 1819) whilst living with her father at Whitehall. She would have been 14 and 17 at the dates of their births.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
