    During the 1960s he was employed as a G.P.O.Telephone Supervisor in nightshift-to make ends meet he also did another job during the day - working for Pond's Delicatessen in Mayfair as a Delivery Driver
    George was a union representative with G.P.O. His interests were carpentry and making plaster figures. He also enjoyed going to Fulham F.C. & Chelsea F.C. when time allowed.
