  1. IGI Marriage (original information from Alan-R-TICKNER's web site.
  2. 1841 Census - Peaslake, Shere, Surrey. There is a Job aged 80 who I would think is the Job on this Chart. With him, and I assume his children, were James, aged 50, Henry 40, Sarah 50 and Ann 49. Remembering ages are rounded up and down it seems strange that the last person Ann has an age given of 49. I will put a chart on for this family.
  3. IGI Baptisms - taking the information found on the 1841 Census with James being around 50 I searched for a James baptised around 1791 and came up with James TICKNER, baptised 20th May 1787, Shere Surrey with parents of Job and Jane, so that is the first one confirmed and I think confirms my find on the 1841 Census. However this was submitted by a member of the LDS Church as was not their own extraction from the records. I looked for Henry without success but there is a Sarah, again submitted by a member of the LDS Church, with Job and Jane as parents she is down as being baptised on 10th July 1785 Shere, Surrey, and then their is Ann, again with Job and Jane as parents and again submitted by a member of the LDS church with the baptism date of 6th December 1789. So three of the four children on the 1841 Census confirmed as correct. In addition their is a Hannah baptised 25th July 1779 Shere, Surrey, a William 10th August 1783,  and Mary 21st February 1781. I think that gives us seven children for Job and Jane at the moment.
  4. Have place Henry at the end as when I have put the children on found above I find we have a range of children with two year gaps from 1779 to 1789. However it is possible that he was the eldest and therefore possibly comes about 1777
  5. 1851 Census - Shere, Surrey. Henry is the Head a Widower, and has Ann his sister living with him.
  6. 1851 Census - Shere, Surrey. Next door to Henry (see Note 6) there is a William TICKNER born 1783 so I think it is more than possible it is the brother of Henry and Ann, he is also a Widower and has an Amelia TICKNER, living with him who is down as his sister aged 59 so born about 1792, so I have added another child to the chart above. There was also with William and Amelia a John TICKNER, aged 25? (difficult to read, has a line through it) who was a Lodger an Ag Lab born Shere, Surrey.
  7. 1841 Census -Peaslake, Shere, Surrey. There is a William TICKNER of the correct age in Peaslake, he is the Head and he has a family of HOOK's with him, Frederick is the head down as 35 and Hannah is his wife aged 35, so possibly that Hannah was a daughter of William but I cannot find on IGI. She was down as 30 then there were three children, Elizabeth 12, William 2 and Edmund 1. The next household is that of Job and Jane TICKNER which is why I think I have found the correct William.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
