Obituary on Find a Grave Web Site TWYNAM, Robert Winton "Bob" 89, of Tampa FL, passed peacefully in his home November 10, 2017. He leaves behind Susan Pandolfi and Shannon Gibbs who he considered to be his daughter and granddaugher; beloved caregivers; many Twynam cousins; and innumerable friends that he encountered over his many years. Bob was born at Tampa General Hospital, December 15, 1927. He was raised in a house located on Harbor View Avenue and resided there most of his life. He was drafted into the U.S. Army at the age of 24 and served from 1952-1953 in Germany during the Korean War. He then spent 28 years working for Tampa Electric. Without any siblings or children, Bob felt a strong attachment to all of his Twynam relations. He would search out distant relatives from Canada to Australia and keep in touch throughout his lifetime. Bob loved to travel and visited many places throughout the world in his younger days. Even in his final years he dreamed of traveling and wished that he was capable but was not physically able to do so. Instead, he would revel in his outings to the dollar store and Walmart, his favorite stores as Bob was always looking for a bargain. Bob was a longtime member of the YMCA and the American Legion, and had strong emotional ties to Florida United Methodist Children's Home, where his mother, Alice Wilson Twynam, worked as a nurse for many years. Bob will be remembered for his great, never failing optimistic outlook on life, his ability to make friendships with everyone, his great sense of humor, and his ever present smile. A private service will be held to lay Bob to rest at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
