  1. 1851 High Street, Warboys, Huntingdonshire
    1861 Street, Warboys, Huntingdonshire
1871 St Ives Footpath, Houghton, Huntingdonshire. There was an Edward ARNOLD down as son aged 9 with Alfred and Eliza. I cannot find an Eliza ARNOLD on the 1861 of the correct age and birth place, so she might have married an ARNOLD after 1861.
1881 St Ives Footpath, Houghton, Huntingdonshire. Alfred is down as married. I have found Eliza with her mother on the 1881 Census, see note 8
1891 St Ives Road, Houghton, Huntingdonshire. There was a Rebecca COOPER, a widow, aged 68 a Nurse, born Warboys, Huntingdonshire with the family.
  2. 1871 St Ives Footpath, Houghton, Huntingdonshire. There was an Edward ARNOLD down as son aged 9 with Alfred and Eliza. I cannot find an Eliza ARNOLD on the 1861 of the correct age and birth place, so she might have married an ARNOLD after 1861.
1881 Church End, Warboys, Huntingdonshire. Eliza was with her mother a Hannah LANGHAM, aged 70, a widower, a Charwoman, born Warboys, Huntingdonshire. From this it would appear that Eliza did marry an ARNOLD (see note 3) and have a son Edward, before marrying Alfred. Also with Eliza on the 1881 census was her son Walter UPCHURCH, aged 10, Grandson to Hannah, he is down as being born in Houghton. There was also another Granddaughter, a Mary Ann UPCHURCH, aged 21 (born in 1860 therefore), unmarried, a Dressmaker, born Pidley, Huntingdonshire. She is down between Eliza and Walter, so it would suggest this is a child of Eliza, but this confuses the situation even more, as Eliza would have only been 17 when she had Mary Ann, then she had Edward ARNOLD before having the rest of her family. Of course Eliza's mother Hannah LANGHAM could have married twice and her first marriage might have been to an ARNOLD. So there are a lot of possibilities with this problem. I then looked on the 1861 Census for a Mary Ann UPCHURCH born in 1860 in Pidley, Huntingdonshire, and there is such a person. She is living at Church Lane, Somersham, Huntingdonshire, but her father is a William UPCHURCH, a Tailor, aged 25 born Warboys, Huntingdonshire and her mother is a Mary Ann aged 21 born Pidley, Huntingdonshire. So this only confuses the situation even more.
1891 St Ives Road, Houghton, Huntingdonshire. There was a Rebecca COOPER, a widow, aged 68 a Nurse, born Warboys, Huntingdonshire with the family.
1901 The Three Horseshoes, The Green, Houghton, Huntingdonshire
1911 Three Horse Shoes, Houghton, Huntingdonshire. With the family was a Clara Elizabeth UPCHURCH, Granddaughter aged 14 born St Ives, Huntingdonshire.
  3. 1881 Church End, Warboys, Huntingdonshire. The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
