    Information for George Robert SCOTT
1863 Wimborne, Dorset (at marriage) Father Robert SCOTT - Labourer
I have had problems finding this family after 1863 but have not found another marriage for George Robert in 1883, so Thirsa/Thirza must have died before this date. Having established everything below this sentence, and that Thirza must have died between 1863 and 1871 I have been unable to find her death, using all the variations I can think of.
1871 North Street, Wareham, Dorset. On this Census George is down as a Nephew a Widower aged ??? (cannot read, Ancestry has put 23 but this is incorrect) as it is definitely the correct family and he would have been 32 on this Census. He is with Charles SCUTT a Gardener and his wife Mary aged 66 both born Wimborne, Dorset. With them is their daughter Elizabeth aged 34 a Milliner born Wimborne, Dorset who he later married. It would appear therefore that Thirza died between her marriage in 1863 and 1871. As he had no children with him in 1871 I assume that did not have any.
1881 North Street, Wareham, Dorset. He is down as a Boarder with a Charles SCUTT a Gardener born Wareham, Dorset and his wife Mary aged 76 a Gardener's wife born Wareham, Dorset and their daughter Elizabeth aged 44 a Dressmaker born Wareham, Dorset. (He married Elizabeth soon after this)
1883 26th November 1883 Wareham Parish Church, George Robert SCUTT aged Full a Widower a Shopkeeper of St Martin's Wareham whose father was Robert SCUTT an Innkeeper married Elizabeth Ann SCUTT a Spinster of St Martin's Wareham whose father was Charles Henry SCUTT a Gardener
1911 Almshouses, 11 Westport, Wareham, Dorset. His second wife Elizabeth Ann was with him, she is down as being 74 and having been married to George for 27 years and having had no children. They are living in Alms Houses on an allowance for a Charity.

21 Grove Road, Wimborne, Dorset. Sabina is down as having been married 32 years and having had 10 children, eight of whom survive and 2 of whom have died at the date of this Census. Children still with them were Charles aged 26 a Baker, Ernest aged 25 a Baker and Sidney Willis Junr aged 19 a Groom Domestic all born Wimborne, Dorset.
  10. 1861 Pamphill, Wimborne Minster, Dorset.
1871 Private, Pamphill, Wimborne Minster, Dorset
1881 Pamphill, Wimborne, Minster, Dorset. There was a wife for Sidney on this census. Children as shown on notes but there were two Grandchildren a Charles aged 5 a scholar and Louisa aged 1 down as a Scholar born born Pamphill, Dorset. At present I am not sure which sibling they belong to.
1891 Lower Pamphill, Wimborne, Dorset. With Martha were her daughter Emma  and Jane and also a Charles WILLIS a Grandson aged 15 a Grocers Assistant and Bertie a Grandson aged 8 both born Pamphill, Dorset
1901 Pamphill, Dorset, Emma and Jane have put themselves down as daughters but they are in household by themselves so Emma should have put herself down as Head and Jane as sister,. They do still have Bert WILLIS with them Grandson aged 18 a Bricklayers Labourer born Pamphill, Dorset. As there mother is not with them I would think she had died between the 1891 and 1901 Census. I would think that the Grandchildren with the family on the 1871, 1881 and 1891 were children of either Emma or Jane, but I think it more likely that it was Emma. Again the Grandson for Bert therefore must also be incorrect. Even if he was a child of one of the other siblings he should have then shown as Nephew.
1911 Lower Pamphill, Wimborne, Dorset. Martha was still alive and head of Household, with her wee he daughters Emma and Jane and a Fred DEAR a Lodger aged 32 a Bricklayer bonr Southampton, Hampshire.
  11. 1871 Private, Pamphill, Wimborne Minster, Dorset
The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
