  1. 1851 South Street, Woodhurst, Huntingdonshire. There was a lodger a William LAWSON a widower, aged 67 an Ag Lab born Connington, Cambridgeshire.
    1861 South Street, Woodhurst, Huntingdonshire.
1881 Wash Street, Godmanchester. James is the Head but so is the next person, so he is by himself, but he is down as married.
It is possible that James married a Sophia CHAPMAN not Sophy (Sophie) HICKS as we have on the Chart above we are looking into this at the present time.
1891 The Causeway, Huntingdonshire - There is a James BECK aged 41 born Woodhurst Huntingdonshire, married to a Sophia as The Causeway, Huntingdonshire. I think it is more than likely that it is this James, he is a watch jobber and jeweller and has four children, the eldest Lizze is 16 a Dressmakers Apprentice, Godmanshester, Huntingdonshire, and if I have the correct James on the 1881 is would appear that is the same area. There is also a William and a Ruth who should also appear on the 1881. (I already have Sophia (without husband) and her children on the 1881 Census with James BECK and Charlotte
  2. 1881 "Farmers Boy" Church Street, Woodhurst, Huntingdonshire. Sophie is with the parents of James, but his is not with her. Sophie BECK married, daughter-in-law, age 32, Millers Wife, born March, Cambridgeshire, Eva BECK, granddaughter, age 7 Scholar, born Godmanchester, Huntingdonshire,  Lizzie BECK, granddaughter, age 6 Scholar, born Godmanchester, Huntingdonshire,  William BECK, grandson, age 4 Scholar, born Godmanchester, Huntingdonshire, Arthur BECK, grandson, age 2, born Godmanchester, Huntingdonshire and a lodger a Thomas CHAPMAN, unmarried, aged 70, a Cordwainer, born Warboys, Huntingdonshire.  Nathaniel STOKES, brother-in-law age 45 an Ag Lab, born Woodhurst, Huntingdonshire,  was also with the family, proving beyond doubt that this is the correct family
1891 The Causeway, Huntingdonshire- There is a James BECK aged 41 born Woodhurst Huntingdonshire, married to a Sophia as The Causeway, Huntingdonshire.
  3. 1881 "Farmers Boy" Church Street, Woodhurst, Huntingdonshire.
1901 5 Germain Street, Huntingdon St Benedict, Huntingdonshire. Eva was with in in-laws, Henry TOMLINSON, who was 72 a Hairdresser born Huntingdon, Huntingdonshire and his wife Mary J aged 68 born Wumpston?, Kent. With them was an Eva BECK a Visitor, aged 6 a Scholar, born Godmanchester, Huntingdonshire. (do not know where Eva fits in, was she a daughter of Eva before she married Harry or was she possibly a daughter of Arthur, the only child who at present I have not found on the 1901 Census.
  4. 1881 "Farmers Boy" Church Street, Woodhurst, Huntingdonshire.
    1891 The Causeway, Huntingdonshire
1901 Straight Road, Colchester, Essex. Ruth, Lizzie's sister was with the family.
  5. 1881 "Farmers Boy" Church Street, Woodhurst, Huntingdonshire.
    1891 The Causeway, Huntingdonshire
1901 Post Street, Godmanchester, Huntingdonshire. Sister Miriam was with the family.
  6. 1881 "Farmers Boy" Church Street, Woodhurst, Huntingdonshire.
    1891 The Causeway, Huntingdonshire
  7. 1891 The Causeway, Huntingdonshire
1901 Straight Road, Colchester, Essex. Ruth was with Lizzie and her family on this Census.
  8. 1891 The Causeway, Huntingdonshire
1901 Post Street, Godmanchester, Huntingdonshire. Miriam was with her brother William and his family.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
