    John Samuel COBLE, 73, pioneer of the Kittitus Valley and a well-known Ellensburg brick mason for many years, died at Coupeville last Friday. He had lived at Coupeville for the past two years.
    He was born in Servia, Indiana, August 23, 1867, and came to the Kittitas Valley with his parents, Mr. and Mrs Daniel COBLE, in the fall of 1884. He was married here to Ida WHEATON on October 22, 1891. Two children, Myrtle and Ernest, were born to them and in 1916 he adopted a daughter, Florence.
    Two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle HUNDLEY of Vancouver and Mrs. Florence TAYLOR of Coupeville; a grandson, Ralph CURTIN of Seattle; a granddaughter, Betty Jane COBLE of Portland; great grandson Roger CURTIN, and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret SACKETT and Mrs. Maude HALL, both of Ellensburg, survive him.
    Funeral services were held at the Honeycutt Chapel Monday afternoon. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

    Funeral services were conducted today in Vancouver for Ida L. JOHANSON, 91, member of a pioneer Kittitas Valley family. She died Saturday in Lake Oswego, ore. She was born May 2, 1875 in Ellensburg, known then as Robbers Roost. Her parents were Dave and Elizabeth WHEATON, who settled her ein 1873.
    Mrs. JOHANSON was reared here and spent many years of her life in Ellensburg before moving to Vancouver and more recently to Lake Oswego. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Dick (Myrtle) JENSEN, Yakima, Mrs. Earl (Mable) GUNDERSON, Madris, Ore., Mrs. James (Margie) McINTYRE, Lake Oswego; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; severeal nieces and nephews in Yakima Valley and on the coast.

    Funeral services for Mrs. Alta COBLE, 67 years old, will be tomorrow with burial in Forest Lawn. She died Tuesday after a long illness. Mrs. COBLE, born in Michigan, came to Seattle 30 years ago. She was the widow of John COBLE.

    Having found this family I notice three properties away there is a Erling HANSON (see note 7) aged 2 born in Washington, USA with parent born in Denmark, I think this is the Erling who married Mable J DOTY on Note 9
