Aged 74
  1. 1861 Lees Buildings, Lags Lane, Holy Trinity, Coventry, Warwickshire
1871 22 Leaper Street, St Alkmund, Derby, Derbyshire. With the family was a John MARSH a Lodger aged 41 a Labourer born Derby, Derbyshire and a Mary MARSH a Lodger aged 41 born Derby, Derbyshire.
1881 11 CT 3 Castle St, Coventry, Warwickshire. With George and his wife Eliza were Georges mother Sarah aged 64 married but David her husband not with her and Mary Ann, George's sister. (His wife is down as Eliza and this is the name on the marriage certificate, on the 1891 and 1901 Census she is down as Sarah, same age and also born in Coventry, but cannot find a death for Eliza and a new marriage for Sarah so might be the same person. The baptisms of the children all show the mother as Sarah, the first children were not born until 9 years after marriage to Eliza and then there are a lot, so I do think that Eliza must have died and he remarried a Sarah).
1889 38 New Buildings, Coventry, Warwickshire (baptism of Ellen Elizabeth)
1891 38 New Buildings, Holy Trinity, Coventry, Warwickshire. (wife down as Sarah, not Eliza)
1891 28 New Buildings, Coventry, Warwickshire (baptism of Lydia)
1896 27 Great Friars Lane, Coventry, warwickshire (baptisms of Ada and Leonard)
1901 27 Grey Friars Lane, St John, Coventry, Warwickshire (Wife again down as Sarah, not Eliza aged 40 born Coventry, Warwickshire). Children all born Coventry, Warwickshire, Ellen E aged 11, Lydia aged 10, Ada aged 8, Leonard aged 5 and George aged 8 months.
1911 27 Grey Friars Lane, Coventry, Warwickshire. I have decided from this Census return that George did indeed marry again to a Sarah about 1884 as on this Census she is down as being married 27 years, would have been 30 or 31 if Sarah had been Eliza and just called Sarah. she is down as having had 8 children 5 of whom survive at the date of this Census and three of whom have died. She is also only down as being 48 years old again this does not tie up with the age of Eliza.
  2. 1881 11 CT 3 Castle St, Coventry, Warwickshire. With George and his wife Eliza were Georges mother Sarah aged 64 married but David her husband not with her and Mary Ann, George's sister.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
