Dorothy worked the farm and Benjamin was a water well driller. He did no farm work. Their children, as soon as they were old enough, helped their mother with the chores. Before school and after school they worked and had little time for play. Dorothy ran a dairy herd and sold milk and butter. She had chickens and sold eggs and chickens. They raised most of what they ate with the exception of coffee, flour, sugar and other staples. They made their own lard and soap. They raised pigs and had a smoke house to make bacon and hams. I remember best were those summers I spent on the farm. I helped where I could but mostly we played. We would finish chores and then run to the creek and swim. Or we could take long walks and lay in the grass and look at the clouds. My Aunt and I were very close and I visited her as often as I could up to the time she had to give up the farm and move to Kansas City where her children live and where she died in a nursing home.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
