  1. 1900; Census Place: Omaha Ward 5, Douglas, Nebraska; Roll: T623 924; Page: 5A; Enumeration District: 49. Jessie is down as daughter on this Census, but I think the 1910 with Stepdaughter is correct as they did not marry until 1898. Caroline Elizabeth, Lancefield's wife is down as Elizabeth C on this Census. There was a Roomer with the family an Annie ABBOTT born February 1868 in England, a Saleswoman.
1910; Census Place: Omaha Ward 12, Douglas, Nebraska; Roll: T624_844; Page: 5A; Enumeration District: 89; Image: 1253. There is a Jessie LUPTON on this Census, down as a Step Daughter that indicates that this was Carolines second marriage, but she is called LUPTON, so do not know anything else, except her father was born in Missouri, not Ohio as Lancefield was. Thomas Waverly appears to be down as Wayne on this Census, Caroline, Lancefields wife is down as Callie or Cassie.
The Chart below shows this family as given to me by Bonnie Mann, there were also two more sons who died young for which she gave me no information.

Ralph enlisted in the Army when he was 17. He served as Border Patrol and was stationed at Eagle Pass, Texas and at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. He worked as a Civil Service employee at the Army and Air Bases in San Antonio, Texas. Ralph never married. He retired from the Civil Service in 1960. He then worked for an undertaking establishment for several years. He was an active Mason and was in the Blue Lodge and Scottish Rite. He was a teacher of the laws for new member almost until his death at the age of 93. He is (was) my favourite Uncle and we shred a house together for several years when I moved back to San Antomio in the early 80’s.

Harry was in the Army for one enlistment at the end of WW1. He then worked for the San Antonio Express newspaper as a linotype operator. He enlisted in the Navy at the start of the WW2 and was stationed on a ship in the South Pacific. After the war he again went back to the newspaper as a linotype operator. When he married he moved to Austin, Texas. He was in the VA Hospital in San Antonio in 1982 when he died. I was there at the time and enjoyed his last days with him. He loved to tease me and called me little “Red” (I have red hair and a temper to match) so he egged me on to make me explode. - Bonnie Mann

Ritchie had been married before and had two children, William PITTMAN and Doris PITTMAN. Bill was killed in WW2 while in the Navy. Doris married Richard KEELING and had one daughter, Thomas (we called him Wayne) and Ritchie had one daughter Jessie born in 1932. She married John SIMPSON who worked for NASA and they live in Friendswood, Texas. Thomas and Ritchie lived in Hawaii on December 7, 1941. They and their family suffered through out the “day that will live in infamy” Thomas was in the Army at the time and was wounded during the initial bombing. It was not so serious that he couldn’t stay in the service. The family was put on ships as soon as (the ships) arrived from the United States and waited for several weeks until escorts could be assigned to convoy them back to San Francisco. The trip took more than two weeks and they then had to wait in San Francisco before coming by train to San Antonio. They stayed with my family until housing could be arranged for them. Thomas stayed in the Army Air Force, later the Air Force until his retirement with the rank of Lt. General in 1965. He was stationed in England after the war and talked about England quite a lot. - Bonnie Mann

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
