Caroline has an occupation which could not be made out, was it "House Keeper"? However, it has not been possible to find a marriage for a Susan LANGDOWN to a DAVIES. Nor has it been possible to find the birth for a Charles DAVIES about 1892 in the Wareham District, Dorset. When entering "Susan" born about 1866 Bere Regis, Dorset into the search for the 1891 census, the only Susan who appears is a Susan PHILLIPS. This was Susan LANGDOWN who married Charles PHILLIPS on the September quarter of 1885 in the Wareham District. In 1891 Charles and Susan PHILLIPS were living at Ryehill, Bere Regis, Dorset with no children. Charles was 25, a Farm Labourer born Bere Regis, Dorset. They cannot be found on the 1901 census. To make matters more interesting besides a Charles Herbert PARSONS being born in the December quarter of 1892 in the Wareham District, Dorset, there was also a Charles Davis PHILLIPS born in the September quarter of that year in the same District. Searches have been made for a Susan PHILLIPS/DAVIS or DAVIES marriage and various other lines of thought have been investigated with no success.
