  1. 1851 Census - White Lane, Bere Regis, Milton Abbas, Dorset
1861 Census - Milborne Stileham, Dorset. I think this is the Charles DAVIS who married Jane PHILLIPS but on no occasion have I found him living with her.
1901 Woodbury Hill, Bere Regis, Dorset, with the family was a John PHILLIPS, Brother in Law, aged 52 a Bricklayers Labourer, born Lulworth, Dorset.
  2. 1851 Census, Workhouse, Lady St Mary, Wareham, Dorset.
1861 Census, 1 Woodbury Hill, Bere Regis, Dorset.
1871 Milborne Stileham, Dorset. Jane and Charles were visiting a DAVIS family. I would think there were the family of her husband. She is down as married but her husband is not with her. The family is Henry DAVIS 66 a Farm Labourer born Bere Regis, Dorset, Caroline DAVIS aged 58 born Kingston, Dorset, Arthur 22 a Farm labourer born Milborne, Dorset, Elisha 20 a Farm Laborer born Milborne, Dorset, Israel aged 18 a Farm Labourer born Milborne, Dorset and Anna Maria aged 16 a Scholar born Milborne, Dorset.
1881 Woodbury Hill, Bere Regis, Dorset. I think I have found Charles DAVIS on this Census and it might explain the name PHILLIPS and DAVIS used by Charles his son. The Head of household is a Tom PHILLIPS a widower aged 73 born Bere Regis, Dorset, an Ag Labourer with his is his daughter Jane DAVIS down as married aged 34 under occupation is Wife of a Labourer which has been crossed through, she was born in Bere Regis, Then there is Charles DAVIS aged 16 down as a Grandson an Ag Labourer born Bere Regis, Dorset, then a Henry DAVIS aged 5 a Grandson born Bere Regis, Dorset, and then Alice PHILLIPS a Granddaughter aged 9 born Bere Regis, Dorset. (So we now know that Charles Grandfather was a Phillips. (Just as a note, one of my closer relation a Charles COBB was living next door to this family on this census)
1891 WoodburyHill, Bere Regis, Dorset. With Jane and her son Henry was a John PHILLIPS a Lodger aged 40 a General Labourer born Bere Regis, Dorset. Jane is Head of Household but is still down as married but no husband with her.
1901 Woodbury Hill, Bere Regis, Dorset, with the family was a John PHILLIPS, Brother in Law, aged 52 a Bricklayers Labourer, born Lulworth, Dorset.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
