    Obituary for Frances Barbara STEMP née GALDON
    Frances Barbara Stemp, age 100, of Manassas, passed away July 15, 2009 at the Prince William Hospital.
    Born August 22, 1908 in Manhattan, New York, she was the daughter of Joseph and Barbara Benkovitz Galdon. On August 23rd, 1929 in the Bronx, N.Y., she married Frederick C. Stemp, who preceded her in death on July 1, 1983.
    Mrs. Stemp was a Checker and Cashier for the former A and P Grocery Store and was an attendee of All Saints Catholic Church in Manassas.
    She was preceded in death by six sisters and two brothers. Survivors include one son, Frederick J. Stemp, Sr. and his wife, Anitamarie of Manassas; two grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
    The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 19, 2009 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Baker-Post Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Rd. Manassas. A prayer service will be conducted at 5:30 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 20, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 9300 Stonewall Rd. Manassas, with the Rev. Gregory Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas, Va.
