  1. 1861 Census - Shere, Surrey.
  2. 1871 Census - Smoky Hole, Shere, Surrey.
  3. IGI baptism details, extracted from actual records
  4. 1881 Census - Dear Leaf?, Wotton, Surrey. I am certain this is correct as William is the correct age and his brother Alfred, also the correct age is with the family, both born in Shere. William and Emily have a daughter Mary Ann, aged 2 months born Shere, Surrey.
  5. IGI marriage date, having found on the BMD I have confirmed the marriage and got the actual date by looking on the IGI
  6. 1891 Census - Dear Leah? Cottage, Wotton, Surrey. All children born Wotton, Surrey. Mary Ann 10 Scholar, Arthur William 8 Scholar, Henry Albert 5 Scholar and Leonard James 1
  7. 1901 Census - Deer Leveys? Cottages, Wotton, Surrey - Children - Harvey 16 Gardener, Domestic, born Wotton, Surrey, Leonard 12 Scholar, born Wotton, Surrey.
  8. IGI baptism, this baptism is in the correct year but is in Capel, Surrey, not Warnham, Sussex which is where Emily says she was born on the Census, however they are very close to each other, so I feel that this is the correct baptism. If it is her parents were Solomon and Eliza NIGHTINGALE.
  9. 1901 Census - The Vicarage, Dorking, Surrey. Mary Ann was a servant to Edward CHICHESTER, aged 52 born Ireland, Vicar of Dorking and his family, There were five children and seven servants on this Census.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
